At Neocortix, we have created a series of Ethereum private networks, in preparation for offering this capability to our customers.
Our infrastructure manages self-healing Ethereum networks, automatically replacing any failing nodes with new ones. We also support remote monitoring of network health. Each network may currently contain up to 80 Neocortix Scalable Compute instances as Edge nodes, spread around the globe, along with 3 conventional servers as Anchor nodes. Every node runs a full Ethereum client. In the near future, we expect to scale up to many more scalable compute nodes in each production network. Ultimately, we expect to be able to provide global networks of thousands of Ethereum nodes.
Our networks run on the standard Geth (Go-Ethereum) client software (currently version 1.10.1). They are compatible with standard wallet applications, such as MetaMask, and standard blockchain explorers, such as BlockScout, as shown below.
Because our nodes run full unmodified Geth software, our networks can support any operations you could do with a standard network, including smart contracts, funds transfer, and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs).
As of today, we support proof-of-authority consensus using the clique protocol. We expect to be able to support other consensus protocols, such as proof-of-work, proof-of-stake, and Istanbul Byzantine Fault Tolerant consensus (IBFT).
Our networks are designed for security and privacy, with all data encrypted at rest, and all communications encrypted as well.
